Directed by Ian Pons Jewell... we shot this in and around Mexico City, which stood in for a number of locations around the world. The game sections were all based on game assets, which we brought up to a “big screen” level of detail, reworked the textures and shading and built new animation rigs to allow the characters to really sing, and do what we needed them to do.
The opening fly-in into the car was shot on drone, steady-cam and on a bluescreen stage. Each section was carefully stabilized and meshed together with the help of 3D “projections”, which allowed us to correct parallax between the different takes.
